If you like sex as a speed narrative, you will enjoy this very, VERY short story. If you want sex in less than 15 minutes of reading, this short story delivers. I like the series concept of a set of volumes of erotica travel adventures. However, I think the author could use some serious improvement on character and plot development in the erotica genre, especially if the stories are going to be this short in the rest of the series.In “Naughty Travel: A Sexy Travel Adventure,” Shaw’s story is predictable, there's not a lot of tension or feeling, and it’s all narration that tells rather than shows. You don’t feel the sex--you’re told the details of it instead, without any feeling.
The cover of the book/Kindle doesn't exactly fit the erotica market well (covers sell books), and I think the author needs to study the craft of erotica much deeper to make the rest of the series a success. One thing I did appreciate immensely about Shaw's work was the lack of spelling/grammar/punctuation errors that totally plague the erotica genre. It's great attention to detail and craft, and I think once she learns the tricks of the trade of erotica writing, and letting the readers feel the sex and heat, rather than just telling about it, her stuff will be a hit. I'm looking forward to her future work.
